Pretty much this. Look like you can barely afford a slice of pizza, even if your skis and season pass cost 2k+. Look like you put no effort into what you're wearing but spend months sorting it out.
For me I didn't have a coar/jacket last season cause mine got anagged in the spring here. But just wearing a pink volcom jacket now and this summer. Also was digging it, but surprisingly have seen several pink jackets.
I still think the thrift shop hipster thing is your best bet if trying to stay trendy. Otherwise grab whatever you like/is on sale.
