Replying to How long does the BDog edgeless last?

Since there is no edge on those bad boys, how long will it be before the base gets worn down from rails until there is none left? I ask because on skis I have that have lost edge, the biggest problem is the base eventually wearing away and exposing the section where the sidewall meets the core. Once that section gets exposed the ski is usually toast, so how soon would this happen on a ski where the base is gonna wear down from day one?
