Helmet for park AND touring

I’m looking for a new helmet and trying to avoid buying 2. Most my resort days are spent maybe 1/2 the day hitting side country so lots of hiking some skinning, my current helmet giro combyn fits awesome but since I need to wear a hat for it to fit, plus needing to wear goggles under since it fits like shit wearing the strap over means it’s not so great for hiking/touring.

so looking for something that can be worn with a thin hat or not at all, googles over maybe under, and reasonably breathable, without looking like a space helmet.

i was looking at the smith code, reasonable price and looks good. Any others?

Pret Cynic is nice and lightweight and minimal and has a dial fit system that is separate from the ear muffs for style without sacrificing fit.

maybe just a better fitting Giro combyn or ledge or try Smith if Giro is not your jam

I use the Smith Code for both, it’s awesome. I can wear my goggles over or under it, it’s light weight and it looks fresh

The combyn would be perfect if it weren’t for the moldable fit/flexible shell deal, I’ve had a couple tours where I couldn’t use it cause somehow after I took it off it must have gotten squished in my pack and froze like that and couldn’t get it on my head.

shit I didn't realize that was a thing. I have the Giro ledge and it is pretty basic pretty much like the smith maze. Maze might be one of the lightest helmets out
