patagonialukeonly downside is explaining how to pronounce the name to people on the lift.
SkylineGTR_R32How’s the weight? Both swing weight and overall
BiffbarfPerhaps unpopular opinion here - but ON3P's have quite a bit more rocker than I like. Could be a downside depending on what you want.
ConesForBreakfasThey have a lot of rocker, so consider choosing a slightly longer length to get a good amount of edge contact if you want that
SkylineGTR_R32I normally ski 170-179 and I think I’m gonna grab 181s
CatdickBojanglesI'm 5'11 180lbs and usuall ski between 175-181 and I went to 186 and dont regret it at all.
CaptainObvious. This is quite topical. I'm 5'10" 195lbs and charge pretty hard. 181 has always been my sweet spot. Reading this is sounds like I may want to consider 186.
cydwhitJust a head's up for the size comparison people in this thread. ON3P generally runs a little longer than most other brands because the length they cite is the pressed tip to tail length, whereas many other folks are using the length of the materials before they're pressed with rocker and splay and such. I've never noticed it on my feet and I don't think it really matters, but if you're splitting hairs with length, it's good to know that a 181 ON3P will usually be a touch longer than like a 181 Line.

CaptainObvious. This is great to know. The thought of 186 was a little nerve wracking for me because I have a pair of 184 Libertys and I prefer a little less length on my daily drivers. Maybe I'll stick with my gut and go 181 then. I'm planning to go custom so it's a good chunk of change to drop on a longer ski than I normally like.

cydwhitAnd now, just to drop even weirdo info, that I'm even less sure about...
I remember a few years ago someone at ON3P saying that for the Kartel 108 (and some other models) they were designed around the 181 cm length, and then scaled up or down for the other sizes. So, while all sizes of ON3Ps are very nice and ski well and are bombproof and come factory waxed with goat semen, etc, etc, if you're between sizes on a freestyle ski, you might as well go with the 181, just because it's the most perfect expression of what the designers meant.
Feel free to swoop in and ban me if I'm spewing nonsense Iggy.
OregonDeadwhere do you usually ski Captain?
also good to note that long skis truck
CatdickBojanglesTruck or suck? Im confused hahaha
OregonDeadthis wisdom has been passed down from our ancestors, "long skis truck, short skis suck"
CatdickBojangles
This picture although not the perfect comparison shows the 186 Jeffery compared to a 178 all play and 168 dollo.

KevskiGonna jump in here. 6’0 165 went 181 on the Jeffrey 96 as a park/all mountain ski to be a slightly lighter snappier version of my 186 Kartel 108s for the smaller local hills. While definitely significantly lighter and snappier the 181s feel a bit too short. Even though they run a bit longer than other brands they’re pretty much the same length as my old 181 armada ar6s and have significantly less effective edge due to the rocker. This in my case exaggerated due to an aggressive detune.
I’m legit gonna sell the 181 this spring and size up because I know that the extra length will make them perfect.
Also Scott recommended the 186 for me and I went with the 181 and he was right in the end. Take the advice of the dude masterminding these skis.

SkylineGTR_R32Looking to cop some ON3P’s next season. Prob Jeffery/Kartel 96s. I know that they are durable and poppy and playful and yada yada but are there any downsides to them? I guess besides price but that doesn’t bother me.
50KalOP on3p usually will do pretty rad spring sale come March-April. My brother got once mounted demo wrengades 114 for cheap and they were used a handful of times looking at the condition of them.
You could probably find something slightly used for a lot cheaper if your on a budget but still want super rad skis.
SkylineGTR_R32I’m gonna make an offer on some 181 Kartel 96s when my paycheck comes in tonight 😈
CatdickBojanglesOnly downside to mine are that none of my other skis get used because i ride mine so much.

Foxtrotx1I'm 5'10, 155 and I'm pretty happy with the stability of the 181 Jeffrey at speed. Have not found a speed that it goes chattery yet, bu the most I have hit is 45mph.
CaptainObvious. If you weighed 40 pounds more would you feel different?

DirtyDirtNasty6’2” 165lbs. Same story for me. I have the Kartel 108 in 181cm. Scott told me to get the 186cm but I went with the 181cm. It was a mistake. I LOVE this ski more than anything but ya it’s too short. The rocker is pretty aggressive. Size up if you are on the edge. I would buy this ski again but longer.
My other regret was getting the 108 for a daily driver I should have got the 96 for my daily. I ski northern Idaho and Montana so we get enough snow to justify the 108 but most days I’m left wanting something slimmer in the waist. Honestly I wish ON3P made some narrower skis. If they made some 86mm underfoot kartels/jeffreys I would be all over that.
Scott, care to jump in? Any hope for some narrower skis in the future? Specifically regarding the Jeffery line? Any chance for custom Jeffreys that are narrower?
Maybe it’s just me, but I predict we will start to see a return to narrower skis by a lot of riders for daily drivers out west. 100+ underfoot skis for everyday too are wide imo.

BiffbarfDude 100-110 is fine in the west, you need a ski with less rocker for edge hold my man.
DirtyDirtNastyYa, the 108 has generally been fine. I would still probably prefer the 96 Jeffreys though. But like I said I think the industry is riding a "fat ski wave" that won't last very much longer.
SkylineGTR_R32The other skis I am looking at are K2 Poachers and Line Twalls. What would make something like a jeffery 96 or a Magnus 90 worth the price difference as compared to the K2's and Lines
Foxtrotx1Gorgeous hand made construction, durable as fuck with thicker edges and bases than any of the euro skis, amazing customer service, and really fun fucking skis. The Jeffrey 96 will put a smile on your face from day 1.
shin-bangWhoever downvoted this is going to hell
SkylineGTR_R32I’m still trying to find out what kind of skier I am. But basically 80% park, 20% all mountain. I’m an intermediary park skier. Front and backside 270s off, swaps, 3,5,7 with grabs. Looking to get into flippy spins like corks Misty’s and rodeos. Starting to get into nose butter tricks and stuff but I’m a fairly traditional park skier
