IdahoeBeen following for a while, honestly starting to like him. Despite his goon-brained beliefs he seems like a genuinely good guy. He isn't trying to force his beliefs on anyone else, hes just skiing and eating fruit. I definitely think theres something to the idea that the unnatural things we put into our bodies to affect us (as in food, im definitely pro-vax). Im also typing this while eating pringles so maybe I don't really believe it. Considering hes probably gonna be in this thread in a second I want to say: Dude, do whatever you can to ski as long as possible, hopefully this is a wakeup call to make u realize that the human body is not superhuman. Don't let people get you down. you got this.

I’ve got issues trusting docs , you have to find a good one
I went to primary and 2 different urologists in April for a groin pain , testicle heaviness/pulling and severe range of motion loss, had mri and other shot with just a vague answer of pulled groin/muscle strain , here I am in February months and months of rehab and I’m barely better 🤷🏼♂️ , like I’m strong but something is wrong feels like something underhip/abdominal area really sucks when u go to docs and can’t get an answer , hard for me to figure out as I never received an injury or pain just one day outta nowhere boom stomache/groin/testicle issue 🤷🏼♂️
I really believe nutrition and mental state can boost healing or hinder it

In reality 95 percent of doctors have an iq between 107 and 132. Not as high as they would have you believe. Someone with under a 120 iq should not be a doctor yet many of them are. i met a black med school professor who i asked which moves, the ribosome or the messenger RNA and he literally told me “the ribosome moves” he answered in such a pompous way that i researched it and found out he was stone cold wrong. so yeah you cant trust all doctors.
but you can trust the field of medicine and good doctors. Good doctors sometimes make 1 mil or more a year and they usually deserve it. A good doctor is a patient curing machine

High IQ is not proportionate to work ethic or being caring, both qualities needed to be good doctor. You can have a 160 IQ, if you don't give a fuck about your patients and/or are sloppy, you'll likely be a terrible doctor, no matter how smart you are.
Also you can't buy your way into med school as someone suggested, that's just not how it works. You have to be reasonably smart to become a doctor, and certainly smart enough to be a good doctor, the system is in place to specifically address the intelligence requirement, pretty much the only requirement it addresses actually.
So no, it's not as simple as the smarter the doctor, the better he is. I'll take a 110 IQ doctor who listens, does his research and cares over a 150 IQ doctor who doesn't give a fuck.

also, iq measures mental age relative to chronological age which means that a 110 iq doctor is the same mental age as i was when i was about 12 years old. Would you trust a 12 year old doctor if he studied real hard?

oh and on the ribosome thing, as you move to smaller scales viscocity of cytosol goes up (becomes thicker) and the related reynolds number effectively means that the big fat ribosome will be stuck in place like it was in jello while the thin strand of messenger RNA gets pulled through with little resistance.

They aren't doing microbio research...they are doing surgery on an acl in this case? Seems like a really off the wall question to ask a doc who does Ortho.

No, that's not how it works, at all. IQ tests today give a normative score, relative to your population group, so where the respondent is a child, the norm group is defined in terms of the general population of children of that same age. It's all about how you score relative to your group that will give you a higher/lower score.
