THANK YOU. The Koala does look solid. Got to ski with Dash Longe last season and he swore it was the best ski he's been on in a minute. Ripped on late march crud/ice. Literally no one in the world has been on the Declivity X though. There's like 2 posts on TGR that are incredibly positive but hoping for more intel. Everything about that ski is enticing.
patagonialukeI can't comment on the Billy Goat or Woodsman 116 (both of which seem like solid choices), but the other skis I'd add would be the 191 Nordica Enforcer 115 Free, 189 cm Dynastar Menace Proto, 189 cm DPS Koala F119, and maybe the 191 Volkl Revolt 121.
The Enforcer 115 is the most versatile of the bunch and is very damp but not crazy stiff. Probably the least floaty in pow, but it does fine on all but the crazy deep days. Guessing you'd get along with it if you like the Ranger 102.
Menace Proto is worth a look if you want a strong, damp ski that's also very surfy, though I'm guessing it might feel too loose and maybe not long enough for you.
Koala 119 is a very heavy, very stiff ski that I'm guessing you'd like. Probably the most stable of the ones I've listed.
Revolt 121 might be surfier than what you're looking for, but it is very damp and very stable for how rockered and tapered it is. Would definitely be more stable than the JJ, but maybe not stable enough if you love the 191 Ranger 102.
The Declivity X looks rad — heavy, strong, not much tail rocker. But I don't know anyone who's been able to ski one yet. And you'd probably like the Ranger 115 if you like the 102, though the 115 is a bit softer and more playful. I know they used to make the 196 much heavier and stiffer than the shorter lengths, but not sure if that's still the case.
Finally, haven't skied it much yet, but the Kye Shapes Numinous looks super interesting. Heavy and strong but with a surfy-looking shape. Seems like it could be similar to the Koala 119.
*edit: just remembered Moment makes a 194 cm Commander 118. Wouldn't be super playful but I bet that you'd like it, based on the Ranger 102. Much stronger, heavier, and more effective edge & running length than the Bibby / Wildcat.
