Skis wide enough?

I am rocking the 2019 K2 Sights at the moment. I ski a small resort in Ontario with a significant amount of hard packed snow and ice. I feel like the 88mm waist of the sight is ideal for these conditions, or would something like the poacher be better?

I travel once or twice a year to a large resort with deeper snow, would it be worth upgrading for this? The sight has a nice amount of rocker in the tip and tail, would I get a bit of float out of them?

I also teach in these skis and I feel like it might be easier in a narrow ski. Let me know what you guys think.

It’s completely down to what type of skiing you do and your personal preference. I used to teach in Japan, and if I needed to I could still ski pow on 70mm slalom skis.

For teaching your sights are probably fine, although if your going to teach someone how to do short turns on piste they probably aren’t the best.

if you mainly ski park outside of lessons or just ski on piste but charge the whole mountain again the sights are probably great.

if you are going to ski powder then something wider under foot might be good, but you definitely do not need to upgrade if you aren’t going to be skiing powder the majority of the time.
