We are doing a staff step challenge and they want us to convert our other activities to steps. They gave us a chart and say that 1 minute of skiing is the equivalent of 109 steps. How many minutes of "skiing" do I count from my lift skiing session? Last night I had a 4 hour ski session with a 1/2 hour break so I was out on the hill for 3 1/2 hours actually skiing and riding the lift with basically zero stops and no lift lines. If I count the entire time it is 22890 steps. A significant amount of time was spent on the lift though so I am thinking about maybe cutting that in half.
Has anyone on here done this? How much time on hill would you count as time spent skiing?
