Monsieur_PatateI don't really understand how you can be against "european socialism" i.e what countried like Sweden, France, Germany, etc. have implemented unless you are in the top 1%. From a pure cost/benefit standpoint it makes zero sense to be against it for 99% of americans.
I feel like a lot of americans don't understand that they'd be saving a fuckton of money with a system like that. For example in the US say you get taxed 20%, that's cool but then you don't get anything back except for common infrastructure, roads and shit like that.
Over there you may get taxed an extra 10% but then in addition to the common infrastructure shit, you also get free healthcare, retirement, generous unemployement, free tuition, and a bunch of other social benefits while the US has virtually none. You can bet that 99% of americans over the course of their lifetime will spend way more than 10% of their income on healthcare, education, retirement savings, etc. that's not even counting other social benefits like familiy allowances and stuff.
I mean leaving all ideology aside, that's just facts, the average american would be better off financially for sure.

shinbangclanUnfortunately business failure does not equate to political failure. That's not to say Trump hasn't had his share of political failures, of course. But for the sheer amount of ventures he's tried, it would be wild to assume that he hasn't had his share of failures.
Success comes through repeated failure, a principle which all of you should know very well from our beloved sport. This is also a principle that isn't compatible in politics, which is why it's such a shitshow and never amounts to anything. So honestly, citing his business failures as a deterrent actually has the opposite effect, because it shows he has persistence. If you were to list his political failures–which shouldn't be that hard–that would be much more of a deterrent.

DolanReloadedDecent pojnts good sir.
i think alot of leftycunts fall for the idea that trump failed at everything in biz. He didnt. He turned a million dollar loan from his father (really thats not that much, even then) into billions. He had a big crash of bad luck but he still came back again and became a billionare again.
Most people could not manage to build what trump built off his small loan. In fact very very few people could do it.
if you think any average person can turn a 1mil loan into billions You have the mental aptitude of a fucking chimpanzee

DolanReloadedTrump takes alot of 3 pointers and perhaps misses most of them, but if you think the typical avg or even above avg intelligence person would have as much success as trump over the long term if they simply took as many shots as trump did youre an idiot.

LonelyJeff Bezos was able to become the richest man in the world, without a million dollar loan from his father or a multi-million dollar inheritance. By your logic, that makes trump a pretty shitty business man. Even Bill Gates, who was born upper class and did not receive millions of dollars in loans or assistance to my knowledge is now worth 57 times more than Trump and is one of the worlds greatest philanthropists.
So if you want to compare trump to a normal person, then you should probably also compare him to his fellow billionaire businessmen, and when you do that he just looks like a scrub.

DolanReloadedIf you were given 2 yrs ago the loans trump got You would probably be broke right now or living in a slum trying to conserve your money bc you knew you didnt have the intellectual talent to build on your loan successfully.
and yet you talk about trump as if you were his superior.
the billionares you idolize like bezos and bill gates probably would relate alot more to trump and have alot more in common with him than they would with someone like you.
