Cade2Looking at getting some edollos but hesitant due to the largest size being 180. I know they used to come in a 188 but just in case I couldn't find an old pair I was curiouse if anyone 6 foot and up has ridden the 180s? Looking to use them for more all mountain jibbing, no rails just jumps.
animatorI would suggest the ARV 96 or 106, the Dollos flex pattern is geared towards park skiing so it’s not as great on the rest of the mountain as the ARV series.
Cade2I'm aware the arvs will be "better" for all mountain, I'm only interested in opinions on length
animatorI’m 6 foot and I ride a 177 as my all-mountain ski, I don’t think it’ll be too much of an issue for you. How much taller than 6 foot are you? I’m 6 foot 200lbs and a 177 works great for me. A longer ski will obviously give you more stability but a 180 won’t be too detrimental. Hope this helps!
Cade2I'm looking to hear from people who have ridden the new edollos. Thanks tho
animatorShould’ve mentioned that, my bad. I have ridden this years Dollo and as an all-mountain ski it performs ok. Again, I don’t know what you weight or how tall you are or what your ski style is, but for me it worked ok. I have a freestyle approach to the mountain so in that aspect it does great (popping off side hits, buttering rollers, stuff like that). It doesn’t do super well in chopped up or harder snow, but it can hold an edge as well as any other park ski on softer groomers. Hope this helps!
Cade2perfect, im 6'1 150lbs. sounds like it isnt too terrible.
ZipperFixingI'm 6' 2'' and I just got the 180s this season and i love them. I was a bit worried about the height but I spin fine with them and havent had any trouble with rails. Jibbing also still is great on them.
