I just got the Lange xt free tour 130 LV in 27.5. Skied them about an hour after they got heat molded to my feet and they are pretty flexy. Anyone else notice this? Definitely not something super negative that makes them unskiable, they actually were making me focus on my balance more which was fun. Maybe it’s because they never got to cool down a little idk. My last boot was the il moro which was 120 flex, it seemed stiffer tbh. Maybe the Lange has a much more fluid and forgiving flex then the dalbello. Looking to hear what folks have experienced.
The reason it doesn’t feel like a true 130-flex is a few reasons. A) Dalbello version of flex ratings is different to Langes, and the way that the boots flex are different (3 piece vs 2 piece boots). B) The XT Free has a walk mode, and in a 2 piece boot, this means that the upper and lower cuff are not connected by traditional, “plugs.” The only connection is the walk mechanism, meaning that the cuff is essentially weakened and there is more room for play between the upper and lower cuff.
