ok any of you dudes go skiin with girls, are they any good, what type of things can they throw and if you're a girl do you ski with the dudes and are they of any help to you.
2) do the have twins , and if so what kind are they on.
3) if your a girl what do you ski on and what lenght are they, what do you think about armanda making a special ski just for girls.

I snowboard (I use to ski, so don't yell) with all guys. They push me hard, but take the time to explain and show me what I'm doing wrong. I'm getting better because of them.

that would be super rad if armada made skis just for girls. i ride line mavericks. i'm sick of them. i'm only 14. so i ride 150 cms. i'm pretty good. i can do some rails, 3s, anc backs

i have 160 armada ar5's. the old green ones. i think it's tight that armada is making a girl ski. it shows just how much this sport is progressing. and it also shows how much it is growing. i can't wait until they come out with a girl ski!!

No no! You girls have it all wrong. If armada makes a girl ski, it would just separate the girls from the guys that much more. I think all skiers (whether girls or guy) should stay together, because right now skis aren't just 'guy' skis, they are more unisex. Keep the sport that way, seriously, it will be better in the end.

i ride old 165 concepts and 178 skogens, along with lots of demos cuz i work in a ski shop haha haven't been riding a lot this year cuz of the conditions but i'm competing this spring in slopestyle and big air so that should be fun...i ride mostly with guys and they push me a lot, but i find riding with the 1 or 2 chicks i ski with is also really good for learning new shit as well....i agree that girls skis are a marketing tool. especially when you take next years girls PE, exact same ski except for topsheet and the Line girls fat ski is the exact same ski as the mothership flite except for topsheet....but if more than the topsheet is changed in a ski to make it girlspecific, it usually means that the flex is softer and thus geared toward the stereotypical 'weaker sex'. any other differences are usually just with where they're mounted. i think this is octalame, there are plenty of aggressive chicks out there ripping and I would def not buy a girl specific ski unless it was the most insane sick graphic ever and the regular graphic was a picture of shit

ah i agree wit sasha, making a girl ski would segregate the sexes even more so, but still it would be cool. yet i think the ski itself should have a normal base and shizzy, but have a topsheet not too girly yet not too burly. haha get it? for sure

ok girls, true it mite be marketing but you chicks are liter than the average dude rite so sure they will make a ski to fit your needs, not somethin bout ' the weaker sex' it has nothing to do with that, so this is why we are askin this on this post, it is for the betterment of you the girl skiers, not cause you cant huck like the boys but more like you can and we want to help out, no macho thing here just wantin to know more info from you 'chicks' thats all

I usually ski with my younger sister (15). She's getting pretty good seeing as how this was her 2nd year skiing, 1st season freeskiing.

She can now throw 1s, 3s, do some rails, a 53' Rollercoaster Box, boxes and she skis switch pretty good too!

im a chick, i ski with guys i ride K2 Fujatives 179. itd be sick if armada made a chick ski, but a the same time it feels like all the companies are following the trend of it after line n i dont think there should be a gender set to a ski.

i am currently skiing on the 174 scratch and im looking into seth pistols or motherships. i almost always ski with guys unless im with my mom or something:) i like skiing with the males because they are pretty encouraging and get me amped to try new stuff and not wuss out. i probably would have never learned rails or even got into freeskiing if it werent for my bro.

i wouldnt be completely against a girl specific ski from armada IF there was a point. right now i think that there would be no reason to buy such a ski..however i am getting a little sick of buying skis with boobs on them only because they are good skis. i dont think the weight thing is an issue because ski size ususally correlates with your height and lots of boys are pretty skinny. hope this helps!

ps i ski in michigan, minnesota, and next year moving to utah.

I am and 18, female, live in Idaho. There aren't many girls here that actually ride the park, though there are girls aplenty with twins. The girls that do ride the park stomp some pretty steezy 360s, some can kill it on rails, grabs... and its progressing from there. Ive seen the number of freestyle ladies triple in the past year alone, and as a business move, creating a girl-specific ski is wise; it's a growing market that should, and will, be capitalized on, be it by Armada or everyone else. As for me, I plan on buying the k2 missDemeanors next season, I currently ski 173 enemies and dig k2. I don't think that a girl-specific ski needs to be softer, lighter, or any different from other skis, other than graphics. Why? Anyone who seriously beleives that it's the skis fault is desperate for a poor excuse. As for riding with guys, always have, always do. I attribute much of my own ambition and success to my cousins, friends, supervisors, and all the guys that have influenced my skiing.

I know its long, but hey, you asked! ; )

i ski with the boys. i'm not too great yet, although i'll try anything. i like to ski with people that are better than me and will push me. skiing with people that are worse or are wimpy sucks.

yah, i ski 4frnts. i'm goin to get on here and lie about what i can do (not to point any fingers) so i guess i can do a switch 1440. that's my best trick. and unnatty 450 disaster to down flat down flat down flat down (30 foot segments). i can also get 30 feet out of the pipe. it's pretty sweet. god i hate people who sit on here an lie about their skill just cuz someone asked them and their too pussy to man up and actually do it. i've seen some of these chicks ski and i'm no better than alot of them but alot of them apparently think they're alot better than they are. fuck it, if you can't ride on a guys ski you shouldn't be riding at all. period. i fucking give up.RIDE A REAL SKI BITCHES.

why do girls get so defensive when something is made specifically for them? it's not worse or bad, it's just different. i think it's awesome that companies like armada are giving their girl riders skis that they actually want and do ride. they are taking a big risk by putting a girls twin on the market because as we all know by the demographics on this site, about 15% of the freeskiing community is made up of women.

we talked to the guys at armada and line at sia about the whole girl ski issue. some will like it, some won't. it's all personal preference, but don't knock it til you try it.

It was a girl who got me into freeskiing in the first place, but when I wasn't with her, I usually rode with snowboarders because there are only a couple freeskiers where I ride. I started riding with the skiers a little more recently, and they help a lot as far as teaching me shit. Still, I would rather ride with a girl who is super cool and at about the same level so we can push and feed off each other than a guy who is a million times better than me -- but guys who are a million times better than me are cool too.

My tricks aren't really consistent, but I have done unnatural 3s, 5s, and I learned switch 3s today but my landings were sketchy so I don't know if it counts. I can do switch onto rails and switch butter on if the rail is little; I used to be able to do 270 out... I did like an 18' disaster the other day and I've done all different kinds of rails (60' flat, handrails, battleship, Crainbow). My mountain doesn't really have a park though, so it's kind of hard.

I ride 160 Ar5s (the old ones), and they are sweet as hell. If Armada is going to make a girls' ski and the graphics don't suck; let me know -- I'll start saving now. I think it's sweet that the industry is starting to acknowledge our existence, and it would be cool to have a girls' ski with different graphics and flex patterns...just so long as the graphics aren't super 'girly' and stupid-looking. I think it would be sweet to have something simple, like armada in hot pink and the rest of the ski be plain black. I don't like all the flowers and pastels and swirly things that the other companies are putting out though -- and no pictures of girls, that's dumb too.

oh and i ride the original mad trix. probably the stiffest, heaviest twin ever made. i've also ridden the mike nicks and the shadows this year, two really soft skis.

im a girl and ski on scratches...i can do like, super sketchy switch ons, switch offs, 1s, 3s...i'm not that good..i usually prefer powder anyways..if armada made a girl ski, i'd make a point of not buying it...there's no need for it. The seemingly lacking progression of female skiing is not because of a lack of technology by any means.

skierclygrlie (i think) what attracts you to the missdemeanors? the graphic or the fact that they're a girls ski? cuz the dimensions and everything else about them is exactly the same as the PE's, only difference is topsheet

and linechick1260 knows whats up. i've ridden a lot of skis and gotta say that the girl's ones are a lot flimsier than the unisex ones and not as responsive....if u can't handle a regular ski, try snowblading

Okay Im a girl...Im 19 and I kinda just started with the NEw School stuff, like last season, I can do 180's off small tables, and I can do a grab. Im working on my boxes right now, so you could pretty much say I suck, but Im not one to stay in the park all day. I have Rosignal 160cm They arent exactly twins, but they are curved up in the back

I think it is awsome that people are starting to make chick skis!! I would love to get a pair, maybe when I get a little better and when I can get some $$$....so yeah there are my answers

ACTUALLY.....i am retracting. girl skis would be cool because they already make them, just not for freeskiing. they would be designed for girls and hopefully by girls. and snowboarders aren't segregated which makes them fucking fucks. so hell yes it's a good idea. it will help more girl riders come up. more girls will want to ride and the skis will be designed very specific. and even if girls don't want to ride them they can still ride regualr skis.

i have to admit the nature of girls is more gentle and girlish like you would say so girls are more scared to try new shit. but as we all are riding to the same conditions,looking up to the same pros,watching the same ski movies,skiing the same parks...we kinda get to have the same attitude towards them,don't we? and yes - there are more boys skiing,for some reason,and as we girls ski mostly with guys we develop the same agressive manner that guys have(or at least i do), so there really is not that much of a difference.

if armada allows grete to design a ski or have a 'woman's ski' under her and it sells well, that is more incentive for Armada to give her more and give other girls more. More money towards chicks in the industry is good in my opinion. Why not support girls? I’d like to see Grete traveling more and in more filming shots. It just shows that girls will look up to other girls ripping and therefore the girls should get more exposure.

I think wmns specific boards are a good idea. no dumnb graphics though. I am only 5.1. so I have a hard time buttering on most skis cause I dont have as much weight to throw around but same is true for smaller guys. so maybe we just need skis with softer flex for smaller people but like with the same graphics. like line has a butter ski for next year--the invader and that thing is going to be awesome cause it is milled out in two spots so it flexes easier so you can butter the crap out of it. that is going to be cool. stuff like that. no dumb girlie graphics though okay. freeskier girls are tough and hey don need no damn flowers and shit on their boards.

I am a girl, I ride the 165 TM's, 168 Scartches, and 176 Skogens for junking. I've been skiing int he park since 00-01 season, i can spin up to 5, but i suck on tables and shit, rails are where i like to live it up.

hg*trubs, what attracts me to the missDemeanors....i like K2, i like the pubs, i like the graphic, and support the concept of creating a girls ski. are you saying that they are exactly the same as the PE, and that they are flimsier and less responsive? or only that other girls skis are flimsier, less responsive? as i stated before, i see no reason to create mechanical differences, just different graphics. and lisa, hopefully that wasnt directed at me, it was meant to compliment, not offend. so far, the only lame graphics that i have seen on a girls skis were the maries, i think the lines and k2s are cool. i would be excited to see what armada can come up with.
tahoe - goooood point! creating more opportunities for girls to get sponsorships and be on teams, opening windows for talented female skiers. i support that.

and i totally support the idea of armada designing a women's ski. hopefully if it happens, i'll be able to afford it. and so long as it wasn't toned down for the women. lighter and softer is good to some extent but as long as they had some weight and shit i'd be down for buying them.

there will be a girls ski next year from armada. it's called the arw and the graphic is so fucking kick ass. finally a girls ski without a picture of a girl on it. if rossi can put a naked chick on their skis why can't i at least have a picture of a guy on mine? it's awesome, just trust me on this one.

line, k2, and dynastar will all have women-specific twins next year, too.

Im a male, age 21. I ride all mountain, and park too, especially if conditions are good.
I dont get the opportunity to ride with girls really, not many in Montana. I do ride with a girl who boards and she wants to ride park but can never push herself to do it when it comes time.
It really makes sense to have female/male specific skis. Our bodies our built differently. You cant argue that.
