My friend sent me an article about it, the gist is that the area will be avalanche and safety monitored and all users will have to skin up in order to ride around so there isn't any chairlifts.
It would cost $50 to access the terrain. Personally they shouldn't be calling it "Backcountry", that's pretty misleading. I don't know if I'm a fan of the whole thing.
