I can land a 360 and want to send it off a medium sized jump in the park...

I want to send a 360 off a medium sized park jump. Any tips or help on how to handle the air time or anything else in the process of take off to landing?

dont spin as fast as you do off a smaller jump. also just straight air it a few times to get an idea for hang time, and then after that your body should just calculate how long itll take to spin and you will set accordingly

when I started doing 3s off bigger jumps I noticed your pop has to me a lot more clean, when you're just doing them off a tiny jump you can get away with smearing the takeoff a bit but if you do that on a bigger jump you'll eat shit lol. So yeah nice clean pop

Keep those legs wide and don’t huck. Look calmly over your shoulder for that second 180. It comes around much easier than you think.

start learning to carve into the spin, it'll help slow the spin down, and i find you can spot the landing sooner

Drop in and experience shear panic as you approach the jump. Let it take over and impulsively thrust yourself into the sky with you arms tightly against your sides. Keep tongue pressed in between front teeth as you plummet.

So this is a joke, but there's something to be taken from this.

The odds are that if you fuck up you're gonna panic at the lip, throw too hard, and overrotate.

Get comfortable landing switch on little jumps so that IF this does happen, you don't just panic and try to prevent further rotation. My first 5 was by accident.

flex your core, aggressive stance leaning forward, shins pushed against your boot tongues. pick up your feet as you take off and take control of the spin

don't rush it, it'll come around, you don't need to lean back or twist your skis to finish the spin

If you can clear the lip on balance and get to 180 at the apex without losing your shit you have a better chance than not if putting it to your feet. If you look at people that do them well you’ll notice they stay over the balls of their feet through the whole thing, part of this is being able to see what is going on as well as setting up to land well.

Take off your inside edges and lead with your shoulders and hips. Make sure you dont wind up before the lip as well.

Set with your lower body more. I think the most common mistake I see is people cranking it way too hard with their shoulders. You’re basically writing a pass to being off balance. Pop hard with your knees and initiate the spin with your hips. You should have plenty of time to spot your landing so don’t rush it, or you’ll get all pretzeled up in the air

So you should take off of two edges so either a carved take off, or your inside edges if a straight take off.
By inside edges I mean the two edges at the inside of your legs. Look at the tracks left on big air jumps for example.

Don’t throw it as hard as you would on a small jump. Also, you have to be confident when you are coming off the jump. Remember to pop and don’t think about it too much. If you get scared, you will most likely land backseat and that’s because you spun off the jump instead of popping. After you do it a few times, it becomes pretty natural.
