😕Safe to say we’re not getting a true black ops in a 110ish waist , they’re going directional

Yeah, was super bummed about that. Maybe next year. I wouldn't be surprised if they opted out of a narrower Black Ops 118 just so that they can really push the new Senders (i.e., less overlap), so there's a chance we could get one next year.

That said, the new Dynastar M-Free 108 has a lot of potential to fill the empty space of a Black Ops 108. Heavy, strong, symmetrical flex pattern, twin tip... it looks really good on paper. Skiing it tomorrow, so we shall see...

K, first day on the 182 cm version (dusting of snow on top of chalky to firm snow with some scraped-off / firm groomers and a bit of soft and firm chop from last storm).

One sentence review: it's a narrower Menace Proto, and it's a lot of fun.

Longer version: feels so similar to the Proto in terms of being super surfy and loose in soft snow, but actually holding an edge quite well when you drive it on firm (it has a lot of camber and you can feel it bite on firm). Very easy to throw sideways. Flex pattern is awesome — fairly forgiving at the ends, but strong where I want it to be and the tips and tails never felt like they were folding on me. Mount point is -7.7 cm on our pair but I skied them at +1 and they felt great (could ski it centered, but also drive the tips hard). In terms of stability, it's quite damp (felt similar in this regard vs. the new Enforcer 100), though that tapered shape that makes it so loose does hamper the high-speed stability slightly. Still way more stable than an SFB, CT 3.0, or other lighter freestyle skis, but the super tapered tips do get deflected a bit when mobbing through chop.

Overall, extremely stoked on it. My only complaint so far is their sizing — they're going 182 and 192, and I already know I'd love a 185-188 cm version, but at a place like Crested Butte I suspect the 192 is gonna feel pretty cumbersome (and the skis don't measure that short; our 182 is 181.5 if you straight-tape measure the length).

I know Ns may not love it but when i skied on them even though directional they skied like a tank (the ti version) skied in a 187 loved it.
