Grid construction wool base layer

Does anyone know good base layer made from Polartec Power Wool or similar fabrics from different brands. I saw this piece recently https://www.ridgemerino.com/collections/merino-wool-mid-layers/products/mens-convict-half-zip-hoodie and want something similar but lighter. I think around 130-150 gsm. I know that Stio does something similar, but it doesn't have hood and I like hoods.

I really like the idea of having grid pattern inside for better breathability and faster drying times

I've been using that Ridge Merino piece and have been very impressed by the versatility. I've mostly been using it on cold days, but even when it's just below freezing, I was surprised that I wasn't overheating. And the fabric is super soft with basically no itch. Don't know of any lighter alternatives though.

Do you use it for touring, resort or both? What is your layering sYates with this garment? I think I would be overheating in this with my Trew Kooshin or Strafe Alpha shirt under 2l hardshell in resort.

So far I’ve only used it in the resort and I’ve put it under a Patagonia nano air and a 3l shell. So not too far off from your layering kit, apart from the 2L vs 3L part.

Check out first lite wool. Its a hunting company however it is the softest merino Ive ever worn. Keeps you warm, keeps you dry, never stinks and you can find it on sale as well. I have not had a single day on snow without it in the last 4+ years
