Since a year or so, the newschoolers start page contains a video that is automatically playing.
So I was thinking if it is really necessary that the video is played automatically? As some of you might know, video streaming is responsible for a huge amount of CO2 emissions [1]. Preventing the video from automatically playing would decrease newschoolers traffic, and therefore also it's CO2 emissions - this way, we could do a little something to save our favorite sport.
What do you guys think about that? I'm not saying we have to remove the video completely, I would just remove the autoplay feature.
