Replying to Face+Rail=FuckTonOfFear
So as some backstory, I got my braces off about 6 months ago, and I was really excited to get em off because I always just hated my teeth. Anyways, I’ve always had this super irrational fear of losing teeth. It’s always been something that just makes me shutter at the thought of it. I went up skiing a few weeks ago and was just playing around in the park. I wasn’t sending anything huge or trying out new tricks but I decided to hit this rail. It was just a common skinny flatbar, but I guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention or I was just too comfortable, but my skis slipped out from under me and I smashed my face on this rail. The pain was insane and it took me out for the rest of the day. I got a pair of shiners and a swollen nose. I’m absolutely terrified to hit a rail again. What can I do to get over that fear? I don’t want to hit my face and risk knocking out any teeth again because those braces were expensive as hell.
