I don’t think gear should be considered “core”, core is a title earned like ski bum when skiing is the foundation of your life that all other aspects of Your life revolve around and fit into so that skiing can be done , for me it’s like ski bum with real job idk

Companies like Armada, faction, Vishnu, on3p would be core because they support and push the industry well. Fisher makes one freestyle ski and doesn't do any films and barely sponsors anyone. Fisher is not core.

There’s no such thing as “core” in the industry anymore. The closest thing would probably be Moment or ON3P, handmade in the US by skiers, for skiers. Armada is absolutely not core, they’re owned by Amer and produced en masse. I agree with your definition 100% but Armada ain’t core 😂
