YoungWookieeWhat’s up has anyone tried these skis out yet? I just picked some up and haven’t gotten them mounted yet I know they’re a bit on the wider side for all mountain use bet the flexibility and weight on them kind of had me sold, just curious to see how they hold up on days that don’t see to much fresh snow.. with that being said i might swap them out for the 108’s I bought them before hand to hear some reviews because they only had one pair of 192s left. Let me know!
FapMasterFLEXThey're solid. Especially if you're on the lighter-weight side. Enjoyed mine alot more mounted -1.5 back from center. Some of the Armada team rides 2 back or more. Makes the ski more fun for daily driving if you're not skiing like Sammy Carlson.
YoungWookieeI forgot to mention I’m between 6’3 6’4 and weigh between 230-240 pounds but that weight was gained quick and has been coming down with time (quit drinking lol) so i see you mentioned if you’re on the lighter side I assume for now I’m on the heavier side. I was thinking a closer to true center mount would be the go to option I’m glad you guys mentioned your mounting spots.
a short summary of my riding style is mainly pretty aggressive when I’m skiing in the park which is a 60/40 ratio to park/all mountain but I like messing around when I ski around the mountain too, I ski switch more often than not but it’s not consistently, I like doing butters when I’m messing around and spinning pretty much off anything. I got these to not entirely replace my on3p Jeffery 122s for powder entirely but to have as a lot more playful ski that I could ski more comfortably on the days where there isn’t a ton of new snow overnight and also be a middle man between my kartel 98s.
TLDR
6’4 230-240 recommend -1/-1.5/-2 back from true center??
FapMasterFLEXSo I’m the same exact size as you and hated the line and remounted to -1.5 and never looked back. You lose 0 playfulness and because it skis so short with our size center feels like snow blades. Trust me, if you can’t whip Ollie, ski switch and butter this ski from a non center mount it’s gonna be cause of the user lol
