theabortionatorYou def wanna let it heal and not shift you could go out tomorrow. But it's fucking risky. Best to stay off for at least 4 weeks imo. I had my collarbone shift after a week and a half of healing the last time. Was even now zi got a bump. At least it didn't need surgery.
It sucks but it's worth letting injuries heal proper imo. A few weeks seems like forever but having your shit heal properly is worth it.
Play some skate etc. I actually played so much xbox one of the times i broke my cb that I kept playing with the controller to my side even after it was healed.
Good luck man
eddoscheers man at least im not getting sent home from my season just going to get itchy feet
theabortionatorI feel you. We had a pow day in 2011 when I was living in NH. I was out with a collarbone and workers comp paid for it so couldnt risk it. Lifty friend understoof and gsve me his jacket and I took a lap just to feel the snow and the wind. It was worth it. Sucked being broken and having to run a lift but that run made life ok for a bit.
Basically like anything else, do what yiu do but know the risks and be careful. Hitting park in the first few weeks is a bad idea. If it popped it can make it worse and end up surgical and even if it's the same you're back to square one for heal time.
I had a cracked vertebrae and femur that healed a little wonky because I didn't give it nearly enough time. Leg isn't bad but back def didn't heal right. Just don't yank it around and don't fall on it.
eddosworse thing was it wasn't even in the park just caught a fat piece of ice and landed on head and neck and shoulder just going to be sad seeing the snow and not going
thatsGWas it a full break? I broke mine February 1st of last year, surgery same day, 1 plate 11 screws. Back skiing the first week of April. No jumps, but got 10 days in to end the season, felt pretty good.

thatsGAre you getting surgery?
J_skisI broke mine last year right around this same time. I fractured it in 2 places but it was within the natural healing tolerance so I didn't need surgery either. I stayed off snow for 6 weeks then eased into it for 2 more and was back skiing 100% within 8 weeks.
If you keep it mellow and wear your sling like you're supposed to you'll be back by end of February / early March feeling great.
Good luck! - Taylor
eddosCheers Taylor just going to be horrendous seeing all of my housemates skiing whilst I have to rest can't even get back to work for like 5 weeks
eddosseems strange ti bring back up an old thread but this finally got fixed eith playes and pins. anyone got any idea of lower body exercise i can do so i dont go into season without any type of conditioning

little1337I got some metal in mine a few years back, I did a lot of arm exercises with resistance bands and that seemed to help a lot. That and some shoulder stuff
theabortionatorDid they keep yours in? I had to get mine out eventually. The setup would have fucked my rotator cuff.
That was the onky time i got metal for one though. Now mines fucked again but from a different time. Healed but not smooth. Shits throwing my back all weird. Keep getting a knot on other side and somebody told me its pribabky related and the injury is fucking my posture and shit. Idk.
little1337They kept it in, but I got a few plates and screws on top of the bone so they stick out some. The doctor said if it starts to bother me they can take it out since it’s all healed now, but if not there’s no reason to go back in and fuck with it
