SPOT TO SKI NEXT TO MONTREAL

Hello everyone!
Moving to Montreal next year for my college. I've skied every year for the past 5-6 years.
I'm more into big line but I think I'll have to compromise on this. I like park. Do you know any nice park no too far from Montreal?

Jay peak or Mont Tremblant are your best skiing options. Both a little under 2 hours away. As far as big lines or back country. Drive up to the chic chocs, or down to the Presidential range.

Jay peak definitely looks like a very nice resort. Has anyone gone there?

Probably the best resort in the north east. For sure the best snow quality and most snow.

Yes Jay and Tremblant are great, and there are other options too. My favorite was always Mont Avila in St Sauveur. ~40 minute drive from downtown, excellent park, lots of good skiers. (A few years ago) the season's pass was not overpriced and they had a good deal on spring riding.

It all depends a bit on whether you have a car or not, and how much time you can devote to getting to/from resorts.

I gotta second this, best late late spring skiing on the whole east coast and pretty good night skiing

I go to Mcgill for uni and most people buy passes at Jay Peak/Tremblant. Jay Peak has an amazing student deal if you are uni student.

I've always had a great time at Owl's Head in the Eastern Townships. I don't remember if they have a park, but it's definitely the least crowded on pow days. Terrain isn't too crazy, but I'd pick no lift lines and fresh laps all morning over 30 minute waits and it being skied out by 10am like you get at Tremblant.

Sutton is also pretty sweet.
