HYP3R_REAL1TYDamn these fires are just stupidly big. Really sad to see, and even sadder to see the PM of Aus doing fuck all and going on holiday while these fires rage on. Rumour has it he turned to several million in aid, but am unsure of the specifics.
also again I’m not sure if it’s true but these fires can be advantageous for mining and resource companies, because the foliage gets burnt the ground gets opened up. So perhaps there is more politics to the fires than is thought.
oh well I really hope the situation gets better out there.
