Describe New Wave Skiing

In your own words/opinion.

I picture kids without poles, in less vibrant, tighter fitting clothing and mittens doing backslides.

and instead of afterbang it’s how much can I wrap my arms around my body after a 450 out. It’s less of a statement stomp and more of a fluid twisting motion. I kinda like it.

Finding all sorts of ways to flex your skis and then spring off of this flex to do creative new tricks, in-air pretzels, landing sideways, skiing down stairs sideways, handplants/ using your hands for creative trick variations where poles might get in the way, dancing, breaking free from the norm, getting bashed on by skierman

GrandThingsAll those shots OP posted are actually pretty swag IMO....

The screenshots are cool but a lot of times guys are exaggerating it. A lot of riders seemed to flair their arms like rubber hoses.

it's kinda like the visuals are more starting with style and incorporating skiing into it rather than skiing and incorporating style into it. i don't mind it tho im not that steezy myself

This site was created to defy the norms, it was made when terrain parks had snowboard only signs on them.

I’m pretty sure there was major controversy over afterbang when it first existed as well as huge arguments over tight vs baggy clothing. I don’t think trendy things being unpopular is anything new
