r00kiePoles are a thift store buy. An aluminum stick is an aluminum stick. Find one thats just right or taller and cut to size as needed. Will never understand buying new poles, especially race dads with the carbon Leki's with releasable straps. $2 vs $100 and the work just as well.

_IRRELEVANT_If I saw someone using wooden dowels it would make my day or even better rebar. You can’t bend or break it and no one would real it
ShastownSoldierMost of the on mountain rental places have bar codes for the check out/in of skis and boot, but don't care about poles. If you walk in and ask an employee to rent poles they'll probably just tell you grab a pair. Rental shop employees are some of the most annoyed/ apathetic people I've ever met. Also you can go to home depot and grab a pair of dowels for 6 bucks. If you ski park you don't really need the baskets do you?
