Making your own skis

Looking at making my own skis. If there are any tips tricks or pointers on any materials tools or anything related to the process. Let me know. Most likely going to make a ski press that uses a compressor. Where to buy materials. How to get a top sheet and base material.

Most materials you will have to buy online. Some decent shops are http://www.store.skilab.com/index.php?main_page=index and http://sandwichtechskis.com/ski-builders-shop.htm there are probably other shops so look for better prices and other stuff. http://skibuilders.com/ is good. also there are a ton of other threads about this so look as those

If you searchbar you should be able to find a really good old thread on this that explains the process of building a press, choosing materials and putting it all together!

you can lookup the old ON3P thread where iggy literally details how they started the company from their garage with pictures and details of how they built the press/skis. even if you don't want to build your own skis its still an awesome piece of ski history that lives on NS
