Replying to Helmet audio question - Outdoor Tech Chips Ultra reviews?

Has anyone tried the new Outdoor Tech Chips Ultra that they recently ran a kickstarter for? I missed out on the intro price (couldn't care less about the headset thing they were also offering) but was wondering whether anyone had had a proper chance to use them yet?

I had a pair of the previous iteration (the first bluetooth ones) and they were good, although the sound quality wasn't amazing. The new ones are very pricey, and appear to have the exact same sound drivers as the old ones, but claim that the sound quality is much improved, along with the bass response, which I'm struggling to believe. My old ones are not charging anymore, which is the only reason I'm weighing up whether or not to replace them, cause the removing the connecting wire is not really a game changer for me. I did like the fact they were bluetooth though, and I'm not sure how having regular wireless earbuds under my helmet is going to run, whether they'll be super uncomfortable or not.
