Should I have my “emergency contact” which is my girlfriend vouch for me and tell them I got into a drunken fight?

Should I tell them i was involved in an accident?

Are you skiing tonight and missing work tomorrow? If so then just power through tomorrow and save the ‘sick days’ for pow days.

Tell them you hurt your back and you can’t work. When you go to work the following day after skiing you will be stiff and sore so it will all play out

why not just tell the truth? I have a good relationship with my superior that if it snows he knows i'll probably be taking the day. I also make sure anything i needed to do the next day was covered.

Actually a lot of young people get mad promotions very quickly for skipping powder days to go work.
Most shop managers I know with no previous management experience or college education got their positions in less than 10 years. While I also know a ton of people wwith 4 year degrees who complain abiut being broke and having shitty jobs, but they skip work to go skiing everytime there is 2 inches on the ground.

Get your $50 salary, then go skiing.

I wish! Nah fr tho I work for some real southern fried country ass folk, the main supervisor is from Texas and if anything they consider skiing to be leisurely activity at best and/ or Degenerate Behavior :(
