Bentchetler 100 Mounting Point

I ride +4 on my Chet 100’s. They still charge super hard but are plenty playful a little forward from factory rec. That line is way far back. I think Mitchell brower and some other atomic riders were recommending this and I have no ragrets

I had gone with +4 but in any sort of powder snow they would dive. If i were to mount again i'd go recommended if you are not going to be in the park all the time on them.

Maybe cut the difference at +2? I rode knee deep powder a couple weeks ago and had no problem.

The Bent 100 have a similar factory mount point to Menace 98 and I’d recommend the same for those-factory mount if you’re more of a traditional skier never skiing park, plus 2cm-3cm for all mountain freestyle ski(I went plus 2cm on the Menace for all mountain and it’s perfect), plus 3-4cm if mostly park use with some all mountain.

OP where do you spend most of your time on the mountain? What’s your style of skiing?

Mostly all mountain but dabble in the park from time to time. Enjoy jibbing any feature in my path

After skiing the ski a lot and talking with reps about it's design, it's interesting that while it looks like it'd be a super playful jibby all mountain ski, it really isn't. I'm not saying you can't be playful on it but it's actually quite a bit stiffer than most think. It also has no tail rocker and only tip rocker, so it's rocker/camber profile is actually quite directional.

Honestly I wouldn't recommend going more than +2 or +3 from rec on that ski with this in mind, I think I was told even Benchetler himself skis them at +3. Even the +6 mark on that ski isn't center after measuring (to put it in perspective), it's like -1 from center just about. If you want a more center mounted all mtn ski, I'd look elsewhere. It's not that it can't be done but it wasn't really designed for it quite as much.

Underfoot is stiff but the tips and tails are very flexible

Thinking about +3 on the 2021 model. I send cliffs, any jump I can find and dabble in the park. Love to ski entire runs switch but don’t want them to sink in softer snow (if it snows in Utah this year🙄 ) think that’s a good mount point? Seems like the pros who’ve responded to me are normally +4 to +6
