surfaceoutsidersYou should get Surface Outsiders! 112 waist width with a crazy but fun triplane rocker. Stout in the tails and tips, a do-anything ski!
KevskiHonestly I have always felt that my K108s are more than supportive enough. Could maybe be a length thing? Or the fact that your edges are ripping out means you've probably used them a bunch in the park and your edges could potentially be too dull to prevent washing out generally? They do have a lot of rocker and the tails are definitely softer than underfoot (mad poppy) but I haven't had any unexpected wash-outs that I can think of. 6' 165 and I ride the 186 - I use my other skis on rail days so the edges are in good shape.
Confused though - sounds like your first day having this issue on the skis but if the edges are ripping out they sound heavily used?
OhJaySounds like you could’ve gone up to 186, to give you more tail, though not sure how much it’d help given the amount of rocker in the tail. Plus at your weight not sure if 186 would be ideal? A different ski with a flatter tail would definitely help.
On a side note, are the Kartel/Jeffrey 108 really as bad as Blister says on firm/hard snow? Seems like they handle chop and variable snow pretty well, but I Still ski a fair amount of firm conditions, just not carving. I.e. chutes, steeps, bumps, etc.

BiffbarfIf you're charging hard and need support under your ass, try an ON3P wrenegade. Really sounds like you need a flat tail directional ski. Washing out tails sucks when you feel you would've otherwise stomped.
loadedburritolast season i got a season ending injury so i barely got to ski them, was skiing low tide chutes a few days ago and felt many rocks underfoot but didnt think much of them, i did take them in the park for a few days though but that didnt damage them, idk i feel like 181 would be nice but im used to lighter skis
loadedburritoyeah the wrenegades are a super sick ski, i have the 114s and they rip but i wanted something more playful for normal riding and park
KevskiAh gotcha. That’s a bummer man. Yeah sizing up would mean they’d be even less light and they’re already a pretty beefy ski, though I kind of love their weight in most situations.
Sounds like the woodsman 108 might be your middle territory if you like the wren but want a bit more play? Fix up the edges and keep the kartels for jibbing and park?
