I actually have skied them, mind you it was on a pair from 2008 so anything I have to say might not be relevant anymore. But regardless, it was a pair of 185ish Zag Slaps (110 underfoot I think), had em for a few seasons. They were a fine pow ski, no real complaints, but tbh I probably didn't know any better at the time. I replaced them with some 2015 4frnt YLEs and I liked them a lot more than the Zags. They were much more strong through variable snow and I felt more comfortable skiing them at high speeds.
That being said I'd imagine the new Zags are better than they were 10+ years ago, so ymmv. Sorry it's not much help haha
They’re pretty popular in Europe. See them all over Spain Andorra and France... they make good touring options. The ubac 102 is a light, well made option.
pair them up with plum bindings and insist to people that you’re a randoneé skier if you want to look like super eurotrash...
