ExtraButteryRight now i'm a junior in high school and i started skiing about 6 years ago. Since i started i have mainly focused on carving and mastering turns and shit like that. But, I've always had a fascination for park and freestyle but i had something holding me back from truly trying stuff. I played soccer since i was 5 and for the last 6 years at a very high level. I had a falling out with it and now i don't play anymore. For the last couple years i was really motivated to learn park but never did because i was afraid of hurting myself for soccer. Now that i have convinced my parents that i don't need it to get into college, i really want to focus on skiing and especially park. I have already have a park setup with blends and full-tilts so i'm set there but, i was wondering what i should focus on learning first? I can do jumps well and can ski slide most boxes. Just thought i would post this before the season starts. Thanks.
skithemidwestttIf you plan to learn inverts do it asap. It will only get harder as you age and you wont recover nearly as quickly.
ogreeneit sounds super lame I know, but learn park etiquette early so people don't hate you.
also, highly recommend learning anything at all both ways, 'specially looking over both shoulders while riding switch.
