K2 Catamaran vs ON3P Kartel

Vote for the catamaran. I've skied them in powder and crud and have really enjoyed them. They are great in the air and pretty stable due to their weight. It really depends on the snow you're skiing but looking at your height and previous ski length I'd recommend the 191. Due to their extensive tip and tail rocker they ski like a much shorter ski and would feel similar in that sense to the surface daily. They are super poppy and playful and easy to butter if that is what you're interested in.

I own 191 catamarans and they are my fav pow ski I've ever been on. They are unsinkable and super, super playful. Some times I wish they had a little more backbone, but that's only when I'm tryna pretend I need them when it hasn't snowed in a while.

Haven't skied the kartel 116's, but if I had a guess they'd be a lil stiffer (good) but perhaps a lil less surfy due to less taper in the tips and tails. My k2's are beefy, but nothing compares to how bomber on3p's are. And, if you blow an edge out you can swap feet, on the k2 you cannot.

Don't think you can go wrong with either, but you CAN find cat's on super sale if you look and are patient if price is a factor in your decision. On3p's are $$$ but you get what you pay for.

Snowbird/Alta skier and Kartel 108 owner myself. Pretty killer ski if you need it to do everything. Durable as heck, solid bases, edges that hold a tune forever, great fun playful shape, and i think the flex profile is super snappy right out of the box but gets better as you ski them more. I wish I had a pair of the 116s for deeper days but ive skied plenty of deep conditions on the 108s and had a great time.

You'll be stoked on the new reckoning line next year, they make the marksman/catamaran look like poo (which they really kind of are with the lack of R&D that went into those skis haha)

And if i keep the dailys would the K2 make more sense as a two ski quiver?

I own a pair of Kartel 116s and feel comfortable enough to ride them nearly everyday, no matter the conditions. Whether your choosing between a powder chuck or a one ski quiver you can't go wrong with either the Kartel/Jeffrey 116 or 108. They look sick too, the classic green bottoms are unrivaled.

On3p will be heavier and more durable resulting in being more chargey. K2 will be a bit less stable but lighter and jibbier. Very similar skis besides that
