A few days ago I mounted some new Pivot 14s on some jj 116 ULs that I got a super good deal on. I used a 5/32 (4.1mm) drill bit, drilled 9mm down and used wood glue to seal the holes. I’ve mounted other skis before that held up great so i don’t think it’s a mounting problem. Anyways I tried them today to see if everything was good and as I was putting them back in the car I noticed a thin gap between the sidewall and topsheet, as well as a dent on the edge. This was all under the heelpiece. Definitely didn’t hit any rocks, the bases are clean. Any ideas on what could be happening and what to do to keep the ski together?
If they are brand spanking new and you are positive that you didn't hit anything it's probably a factory flaw. I ride the rockies and I'm always bashing my skis (not Armada) off stuff and never had any issues besides core shots. That being said if your ski is dented you most definitely hit something whether on hill or not. But I wouldn't think that would cause your ski to delam like your describing. So can't say for sure til ya post pics.
CT_CREWU hit any rails on em? Is there any damage to base or underside of edge in that area? As said before looks like impact damage.
No i just hit a few jumps and groomers to make sure everything was smooth, the bases are totally mint which is strange. Im gonna take them to a shop to see about warranty and if nothing comes of it ill take your advice and fill it up
Well armada is an Amer sports company. They have to manage the company the same way salomon and and atomic do which means some years will be better than others. All hail papa chingchong

Well armada sponsors at least half of the best skiers in the game right now, and if they hadn't sold they would no longer exist. Aramada was one of the founding pillars of this sport, it would've been tragic to just lose them for the community and the skiers they support. Every company puts out some skis with defects.
Update just took them to shop and they’re sending a claim to Armada, I doubt anything will come of it though because of the bent edge and impact signs...

You are a sucker. The armada that exists today, is not the armada that started in 2002. Armada is no longer its own company, it is owned by amer sports as of 2017. I am not talking trash, i am just saying armada skis are production just like, salomon, and atomic. Amer sports is specifically moving away from free ride/freestyle to all mountain/piste performance because that is where the money is. So when you think of Armada, think less boutique ski brand, and more chinese shit.
