Has anybody bent their phone while skiing?

Today I fell on a rail and my iPhone xr was in my hip pocket. I fell right on the rail and my phone was sandwiched between my hip and the rail. The top left corner is now bent about 1/8 inch. The screen is. Racked too but everything works fine. This happened to me once about 3 years ago as well when I had a 5. Does anyone have stories about phones or other things bending in their pocket after falling on rails?

Yeah I bent my iPhone 6 into a complete "U" on a round handrail before. Note to self, and others... don't keep it in the hip pocket. Never know when that shit is gonna take the brunt of the impact

Yup. Breast pocket always. But when you aren’t wearing a coat with one less options. Hard to leave it in then car.

So far every phone I’ve had got bent skiing. Got a new one this summer, seems like it’s only a matter of time lol

Chest pocket is the move...had my phone in my hip pocket mountain biking this summer and folded that phone in half
