can someone explain how ppl use their t-shirts to make like a face mask or balaclava, ive been trying to figure it out but im too retarded to figure it out

cut a hole in the middle enough to fit your face and then put your face through it

Put the neck hole around your face how you want it to cover your face. Wrap the loose part tight on back and tie it up with the sleeves. Practice/try a few different ways to find the best one for you

Edit: if you fold the collar part in it's harder but it's warmer, more comfortable, and better looking
