Mounting heel piece farther back or closer

Im trying to center mount some bindings to a pair of skis with holes already in them. The toe piece doesn't interfere with any of the holes but the heel piece does. Would it be ok if I kept the toe piece in the same position as for a center mount but scooted the heel piece back or forward a cm and then just re adjusted it to fit my boots.

Yes you are correct in theory, but it depends on the binding. This is easily doable with Sth, marker, or attacks because they have a large adjustment range. But if it’s pivots, the distance may be too much.


what bindings are you mounting up?

how many times has this ski been drilled? If its only been once, you should be able to get pretty damn close to center with a full remount. if it's been drilled 3 times already, that ski is done

Only once but the closest I could get to center while avoiding all of the old holes was about 4 cm away. It’s too late now I already drilled them
