How the hell can people just not care about what the beef industry is doing to humans and the planet. All you got to do is some simple research and you cand find out how fucked the whole situation really is. As I've been working towards my masters in Economics, I've been focusing on populations, food supply, and the environment, and the further I go the more I want to quit and pretend it's not happening.
Fuck beef! Beef as when you kill the cows so you can eat. Beef is when you're killing trees and adding heat. Beef is when cows say moo, guaranteed to be chopped up in stew...

So I am guessing you know about the Pork industry too, how China is buying it all up? Going to get me a pig farm and make some money. All those Hutterites in Montana are going to make bank!
We are all waiting in line to go into the slaughterhouse, but we are ok for now because we all float on alright...
its sad to cut short the lives of living animals tho, but life is sad sometimes

The Chinese are fucking hilarious. You know how the US has an oil reserve? China has a "Strategic Pork Reserve," you can't make this shit up.
Friend of mine just went "vegan" after watching the documentary Game Changers on Netflix. She refused to listen to Rogan talk to Chris Kresser in episode 1389 on his podcast that debunks most of the film.
These docs anger me it was the same with What The Health. Spitting exaggerated stats in a convincing manner without any proof backing them.
I went Pescatarian a few months because I felt like I needed a radical change in my diet. Along with meat went all processed foods and sugar.
I did put in a back door though. If I know where the meat was harvested i.e I shake the hunters hand or it's a family member I'm eating that elks heart.
TnskiHere's too the steak and burger fans out there. Now this is a whopper
Aaannd I’m hungry again.
Real shit though, the meat industry as a whole is pretty fucked. Something interesting to note, is that the USDA doesn’t have the power to recall contaminated meat, or enforce OSHA/food safety standards at slaughterhouses. The beef lobby is huge, and only focused on their own profits.

I can vouch for this. I know a few peeps involved in the world of meat along with a few other food items. They do have standards to meet but sometimes things do get swept under the rug.
It takes pressure off the wild species so I support it. Save wildlife. Amen

Friend watched that like 2 weeks ago and claimed to be play based now. We had Chick-fil-A 2 days ago

I was feeling the same way as you about that documentary after hearing the debunking of it (Rogan and Chris Kresser episode you are referring too as well I assume). But then Rogan invited one of the producers of the documentary (James Wilks) to debate with that same guy Kresser who debunked it, and honestly, Wilks pretty much slaughtered Kresser by not only showing a better understanding of the science behind nutrition but also demonstrating how most of Kresser's points from that previous episode were just wrong. Kresser admitted multiple times during that debate that he had been wrong in the previous episode and Rogan himself said Wilks did a fantastic job and he was considering taking down the previous episode because of all the factual mistakes from Kresser. That's the problem with having a one-sided "debunking", there is no one to keep the debunker in check and he can say whatever the fuck he wants.
I still think there are some issues with the documentary and that it is misleading at times, but referencing the "debunking" episode from Rogan is a terrible source and I'd advise everyone to skip it and listen to the Rogan debate instead. It's 4 hours long, and I'll admit I couldn't sit through it all because I'm not that interested in the topic, but if you are, give that a listen.
