SwervemanguyDefiantly a Karen who started this thread, skis are meant to be used not kept perfect, especially skiing park. I know of many ski companies that have had delaminating problems and it’s part of skiing. Ya it sucks but you can fix it or buy different skis, like not majesty’s. I ski the crowbars from majesty and I have a huge section of delam and base cracks under my boot (will post a pic later) I ski park pretty much all the time and I’m not that good so my skis defiantly haven’t been pushed to the limit. I’ve done some urban and ski good bit of pvc rails (people say pvc rips out edges but idk about that) moral of the story here is to stop being a baby and watch a video on epoxy clamping your skis. I have a good connection with majesty so I’d love to here some questions and ideas.

I don’t think skill level has much to do with ski health, and if anything, “you not being that good” should result in longer lasting skis because you’re not blasting them. I don’t think skis are “pushed to the limit” when “you’re not that good”.

SwervemanguyI meant by “not that good” as in like not doing 450 disasters or dub 10s. Like 360s and maybe a front 4 on a good day. My complaint is company rep, like people said it’s best to just buy other skis and not make people over think buying skis from majesty. My dad demos around Minnesota so If anyone is interested in testing these “shitty skis” I’d love to help you out. There is no perfect ski.

I'm not sure why you're still going on and on. Some folks will agree, but the overwhelming majority of people will disagree and blast you for it. I've never seen one of these bashing threads turn out positively for an op. Every post you dig yourself deeper in the hole.

everyone bashing me, probably aren’t and won’t be getting majesty’s in the future. And people who agree definitely will consider other options. I would love to see the people bashing me buy a pair. I don’t really expect majesty to warranty these skis because they will use any park skiing as justification against it. Even if it truly and honestly is a defect.

snowfinderwe arent saying they make great or bad skis. we are saying you broke them skiing park then turn around and get upset because they wont replace them. No company replaces skis damaged by rails, even though you say you dont go heavy on rails you are still sliding metal on metal with an impact. now go away.

gengar.Honestly OP.... Your biggest mistake here was upfront telling them you were using them for something that voids a warranty. Had you had just sent them a picture along with "idk why this happened" you may have gotten somewhere.

Just some thoughts for next time, sounds like you're SOL though, it sucks but get some new skis and take it as an experience. You can make a choice to not purchase from Majesty in the future but i highly doubt this thread is going to magically make them give you new skis.

The reason why people who aren't good at skiing rails blow up skis is basically from hitting them super hard, not balanced, poor form. If you watch people that rip rails it's so smooth and balanced with nice weight distribution, much easier on the ski. Think of it as the clutch on a car, learning kills clutches not racing at the limits of the vehicle, with good technique it's easy on the clutch. Not a perfect analogy but you get the idea.

LemuelI absolutely 100% recommend the lumberjacks, best pow ski I have ever been on. The rocker profile matches the side cut perfectly and you can rip turns on the groomers. Feels just like skiing the Hoji, so effortless for a fat ski. And they dominate in pow.



OP, do you bring your skis inside / store them in a warm place? I had delam exactly like the pics in this thread on my HG’s. That’s right, the ever so loved Stingers. What happened was I got lazy on a warm spring day, left them in the back of my car, and it got really cold that night. Water got in (it’s inevitable if you ski park and have even the slightest damage) froze and boom my skis were basically ruined. Granted I had a couple edge cracks which is how the slushy snow melted in there, but it was user error not the skis fault.


OP I’m sorry you had this bad experience, I love both pairs of Majesty’s I have and I would recommend them.

FrenchSilkPaiHow long have you had those skis for? And how frequently do you ski?

FrenchSilkPaiHasn’t seemed to be the case with armadas, moments, k2s and Lines.

SwervemanguyThis is my second season, I have close to 150+ days in them. Landed on concrete a few times hitting urban and taken some heavy slams. I defiantly don’t take care of them well so I can’t complain about the damage.
I also rarely swap my skis to other feet so that one edge takes the most damage, I’m an idiot for doing this.
Also I advise looking at other ski companies and edge problems. Also ask some of the majesty team about there experience skiing park.

FrenchSilkPai360s and 450s on a good day shouldn’t be delaming skis. That being said, if you’ve been on them for a a couple to a few seasons, maybe they would.

if people are overthinking buying 650 majesty skis, I’d hope they see this to know that, yea it’s probably a better idea to take that $650 and buy some oN3Ps or armadas. More reputable brands/quality skis.

FrenchSilkPaiGotcha, yea I mean I take care of my skis and have not subjected them to any of that. Just park skiing. I just don’t think other skis have this kind of issue as a norm.

and it’s not binding mounting. I had my skis professionally mounted at a very reputable ski shop here in MN.

AngryGrampsi would suggest taking the ski inside a dry place for a day or two, getting some marine epoxy and like 8 clamps from harbor freight (cuz they are like a buck each there), filling the delam with epoxy and clamping the shit out of it. it will fix the ski, and it is EXACTLY what majesty will do if you send them back in. that type of delam happens all the time to park skis, and can be fixed perfectly 99% of the time if the edge isnt cracked. source: ive worked in the industry for a while, including for the company that shall not be named on newschoolers that happened to be the only one ive ever heard of that warrantied park abused skis (dont ask me about how they ended and fucked everybody, i dont know and also got fucked out of a few paychecks so there is no love from me for them). but this is what the standard for handling this kind of warranty claim is. they are outside of the manufacturers warranty for sure but most companies can and will do that fix for you. but you could save yourself a month and some postage by just doing it yourself. pro tip if you use a semi-hard epoxy (like JB weld or similar) the edge fix will be more durable than the rest of the edge on the ski. you know that one dude (every hill has one) that has been riding his beat ass park skis for the last 4 seasons but they are still holding up? that is his secret.

AngryGrampsthats the good shit! make sure your ratios of epoxy to hardener are spot on, and rub a little wax on your edge (will make it a lot easier to cut the epoxy off the edge if you have spillage) good luck!

BittnerWow fuck this shit some of these responses from people are so lame... That delam definitely should not happen after 30 days of mellow park riding. It could obviously, but it should not. Its on the company to realize issues big or small and obviously you cant warranty edge loss/cracks but this is not that.. Not everyone had mommy buy their skis. This is a big purchase for some people that for them isnt something to just say ahh fuck it 500 down the drain. Taking a strong stance to properly deal with warranty as a small company is huge for customer retention IMO and if that means taking a more individualized approach as a smaller brand id say do it. But if they think they are big enough to just say whatever here is an automated response than good on them, must be doing well enough.

But comments on this thread made me realize why I don't log in to this site anymore. Buncha immature little keyboard warriors looking to sound badass on a forum.
