DayManSome plastic broke off my FKS 140 heelpiece, took my skis in for a tune and the shop guy noticed and said I shouldn't ski with these like this, but I'm thinking he might just be trying to sell me new bindings.

BlumpkinPumpkinCan't really see but is op talking about the lateral part of the plastic on the back? What purpose does it serve to necessitate new bindings if the white part stays where it needs to be? Is it the risk of it breaking fully off and then having an unsafe binding at the least opportune time?
