Anyone ever packed up and moved their entire life for skiing?

DingoSeanNZ and Australia give 1 year working holiday visas to Americans under 30. I took full advantage.

Oregon I lived for multiple years. Same with Tahoe. Lived in Colorado for not quite a year.

I only did 5 months in NZ and Aus but the reason I went there was the winter so skipping the northern hem was too hard for me. I think im gonna keep going to Aus the nextbfew years though and hopefully knock off a few things after the season each time as if I actually took the full year or two.

I think you can get up to 3 years work holiday visa now if you spend 3 months each year doing rural work in fields they need people for. But also didn't have time for it.

Hanging next summer on getting a sponsored or skills visa.

Japan's always been on my radar but I don't have any contacts lined up. Eventually hopefully can do a season there or China.

Done it. Dropped out of college and moved to Idaho. Best decision I ever made.

If only I could find a 6 figure job that would let me work remote or anywhere...

Moved to Tahoe ten years ago where I became a lift mechanic. I’m now burnt out on skiing, resorts, and the whole scene in general.

If you’re gonna be a ski bum don’t do it working for a resort. You’re either gonna be working a no skilled piece of shit job (patrol included), making shit money. Or if you do have a job with marketable skills (mechanic/electrician) you could be making triple working elsewhere.

Although I’m sure most of you are college educated and therefore have options to make this life work that I don’t have. So stay in school kids.
