apparently it's making a return next season, metal toe piece in 3 colors. Anyone got any other info?

it's the same as it used to be, solid toe piece with no upward release. you can get an AFD the works with gripwalk now.

So dope, I was limited in my boot choice this season cause I have a pair of the Rossi branded 155s and they don't work with the gripwalk

yep i was told the same thing. apparently it will be the same price as the 18s which seems a little weird to me but oh well. i guess it is almost identical except the spring (is that true?)

i will be purchasing...!


oh and OP you left out the important part, they're going to come in GOLD. the blurry picture i saw made me say they looked a lot like the gold rossi fks 155s

you're correct, there's no difference in the housing, just the spring.

great point. i'm pretty sure the answer is yes, because it's the same toe piece as the 18

Checked the date to see if it was april 1. This is sweet news.

God, whoever discontinued the pivot the first time sure looks like a smart boi right about now eh?
After a couple years of outrage they brought back a pivot 18 and 14, then buckled and brought back the 12, then buckled again and are bringing back the 15?? Coulda just kept em and been making bank on the whole lineup for the last decade.

Will this mean no more 14? Seems like a significant overlap in target audience?

Fill me in here. If they are the same as the 18s just with a different spring and cost the same then why would you not just buy 18s. I’m assuming if you want the durability of 18s then you probably don’t have a super low din

it was originally a ladies race binding, so for lighter weight people they'd still get the durability and response of the all metal binding but sit more comfortably in the DIN range.

wym? the current p18 has upward release out of the toe, and the 15 will be from the same mold.

while it will tilt slightly it's not a true vertical release like you would see on a p12, p14 or SPX toes. the upward movement on the pivots typically allows the heel to unweight so it will rotate and allow you to release as opposed to the rec toes where you'll actually release out. this is why it holds you in on heavy backseat landings where other binders will pop out.
