Can't get over butterflying rails help

Everytime I hit a rail I have to butterfly idk why but I just feel comfortable but I want to get over my habit, I can hit most rails and I just wanna get over this habit so street can become a bit easier thanks

It's uh like when you set up with the rail like right in front like I don't go off to the right or left side it's like right down the middle

Well it's tough for street becuase alot of the kickers we make are only on one side idk it's kinda just a very nit picky thing for me but everytime I set up like off to the right and spin I just feel like I'm gonna be off balance it's kind of a weird feeling

Yeah its uncomfortable but just try it on a ride on feature but from the side. Given that you ride snow valley i feel like every features a rideon

Yeah man it's kinda sad but still a fun little hill but all the homies in park are sick and they try to make some real cool features but thanks for the tips man!

I used to have trouble with this as well. Try going at the feature pretty much straight on (align your skis parallel to the rail), then when you feel you cleared the feature with your tips, just turn your body and skis onto the rail. That way you will most likely slide off the rail on the same side you hit it from. From there you can adjust your approach to the rail and practice staying on the feature.

Tbh I like lip slides more than regular. Just comes easier for me bc I feel more comfortable getting the tails of my skis over the rail rather than my noses, and u can make lips hella steez.

if my memories correct, SV always sets up some mini rails or pvc at the top daily to practice hitting from the side (if this is ur problem lol?)
that said, go to Louis
you can progress way quicker in the skool yard

This is weird. Lip on is way harder for most I feel like.

SV has upped the park game now a bunch of my homies are in the crew and they do a pretty good job but I'm comfortable with rails just the stupid kickers
