Rossi and look binding problem

so me and my friend have rossi axials and look pivots (same bindings), anyway the heel piece does not engage on its own, it has to manually be popped into place using my hand. I think it needs some grease or something, but i cant figure out how to take the damn thing apart.
Anyone have similiar problems? and how should i overcome this friction?

you chould just advance the heel part a little bit
or just do the opposite and see what is better

On a related note, i've got the rossi 14's (don't know the year, but they have the dildo).
And... when i see other people with the rossi/looks with the dildo, the dildo seems to be almost vertical when engaged. I mean the dildo looks almost tight against the back of their boots. Maybe an inch or two of distance. On mine, the dildo seems to be twice the distance from the back of my boot when engaged.
The bindings function just fine. I've just wondered why the difference between mine and others. X-wave 8 boot, 29.5 size.
Does anyone know why? Does anyone know what the hell I'm talking about?

are they brand new? my p12's were really hard to click into when they were brand new. just keep using them, they smoothen out in like a week or two.

it could depend on the boot but usually they are tougher to click into than most bindings but even if you have to pull them up they still work fine. i only pull mine up when i have some snow stuck on the boot or something but i could imagine as they get old they'd be harder to click but don't worry about it. the best thing you could do if your freaked out by this is take them to your local sop and have them perform a binding test on them to make sure they are working a ok.

yea sometimes my heelpiece wont engage, but thats just if i have snow on the boot. or it will only go halfway, but thats the same thing with the snow. and reactors can suck the pivot dildo cuz theyve got nothing on these bindings
