OregonDeadthanks. not really making this an easy decision although I guess I can rest easy on the assurance of a big sweet spot. I was really looking at the forward line when I first started looking at these but then started seeing reviews about people splitting the lines and loving it. probably go closer to the front like but still undecided. decisions decisions

skeirmanWould the 187's be able to handle a 6'4" 215# aggressive type 3 skier? I've never skied a ski this short but these look sick and the price is right.
Biffbarf'Handle' is subjective. They have a good flex profile but at 215 they will be very very easy to bend. They're pretty damp but if you're expecting some charger you can lean into this isn't the ski for you.
Greg_KVacationing in Salt Lake City and got a set of Fisher 102FR on a huge deal and used the bindings off my 187cm Menace 98s. Will now be overweight for flying back to Canada with 3 pairs of skis, so I’m selling my beloved Menace 98s to someone at a deal. May pick up a pair again when back home but I’ll pass on a great deal to someone else for now. Asking $175 or best offer.

shedddI’m gonna try and re learn how to tune edges; I can’t make the menace’s turn as well as some better skiing friends can so it must be the tune :). I look forward to spending more time on them; my favorite ski for now!
Greg_KCheck the flatness of the bases first(or get someone to check them) as skis that are hard to turn are usually “edge high” where the bases/edges are higher than the middle of the base. You put a True Bar/flat edge across the bases all along the ski with a light on the other side and check for areas of light coming through under the bar/flat edge. Edge high(light coming through under the bar in the middle of the ski) will be harder to get on edge and harder to get out of a turn when you’re on edge. A simple stone grind will flatten the bases and then you can set your base and side edge angles from there.
You’ll be turning with the best of them after a stone grind and tune!

shedddGood call. I may try to flat file myself. Pics of Tip, Center, Tail, Tip, Center, Tail:
