From what I've seen it depends on the resort. But even if they let you, you can only ski the designated uphill access trails. Those trails usually suck because they don't want you skiing stuff that can slide. You can say fuck it and risk a trespassing charge but you'd be better off just finding a pass that your DOT bombs and skiing slack country.
