KernI have a pair of Dalbello Il Moro MX110s, and I can lift my heel within them. I might try a heel riser from amazon, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions before I try that. I am also open to the idea of buying new boots, so feel free to suggest a brand and model if you have had the same problem. Thanks :)
CabbyArrantHi, Bootfitter here. You really should go to your local shop and have them take a look. The heel lifts can help, but it may just as well be that you need a Jbar or or some other form of padding to remove space around the ankle. What you should really pay attention to is whether your heel is sliding all the way back in the boot and where the boot is loose when it is all the way back in the boot.
kalle.i once did DIY j-bars out of sturdy foam and duct-tape. i cut out circles of the foam and taped them on the outside of the liner under and just tried until i got the right spot for them to prevent heel rise. used those boots for that season and they were a couple seasons old, however a boot fitter eill help you with the issue and might be able to fit you with legit j-bars.
yeah_boiWhat kind of foam did you use?
