How to size my park skis?

Hi everyone,
I'm doing a season in France this coming winter and looking to get some new park skis. I'm an experienced skier, and used to be a park rat for 4-5 years when I was a kid, before going to the dark side (racing) for the last few years. I used to ride a pair of 151 solomon suspects, but they're far too small now and a little outdated. I'm 5'10 and a bit (around 181cm) and was planning on a pair of armada arv 86's, but not sure whether to go for 170 or 177. Also not sure about that pair as I've been told I should look for something wider by some friends. Any advice would be v. helpful.

177+ for sure. I ride 181's and I'm around the same height as you.

177 at minimum I'd say. The 86 is gonna be pretty cheap and light which is nice, and if you're solely using them as park skis then I'd say go ahead. If you want something with slightly more all mountain edge, then hop on the 96s

Park skis I usually ride something around my height or a teeny bit less. 177 sounds good for you.
All mountain skis generally get sized up a bit from that for more stability in chewed up snow and better float, but those benefits don’t always outweigh the gain in swing weight sizing up in a dedicated park ski.
