Pretty outlandish statement but I honestly feel this way. Grew up with super conservative parents who always stressed out and yelled at the tv over news, politics, etc. I honestly don't see the point of it all. While I understand the argument that if everyone who thought this way would vote they would be able to impact an election, but at the end of the day your 1 single vote does not matter. The only way I could see any value in it is if you either ran for office yourself or went door to door trying to get others to vote. That may make a difference. Im not advocating that you stick your head in the sand and remain ignorant, I just dont see the point in getting to stressed out/ concerned for something that you have no conceivable way of fixing. At the end of the day whoever wins is gonna win regardless of your vote. And if the shit truly does hit the fan, I own a gun and non perishable food so I can protect myself and thats honestly good enough for me. Till then Im just gonna vibe tf out and ride what ever wave this country is on.
For clarification Im talking about national elections, this argument starts to breakdown as you move down the chain until you reach the local level like city council and stuff like that.
