Replying to Mid fat, jibby park ski options
I'll be getting some new park skis this year, and want something thats on the wider side, and good for screwing around all over the mountain too. but still park being the priority. I like to jump but dont need something super stable, I mostly like medium size, under 40ft stuff, might hit the bigger stuff at breck/key every now and then but so long as my skis arent guaranteed death on those ill be fine. i do like to cruise fast, so maybe a complete noodle wouldnt be good, though i've owned and liked many of the softest skis ever.
Should also say im looking at skis like the catamaran, CT 5.0, line outline etc.. that i'll use for a lot of all mountain stuff, and some park as well. my "park" skis will be more for day's where i know i'll only be doing frontside stuff and park.
Anyway, I'm kinda torn between going for something with significant rocker and soft AF, or flatter camber/minimal rocker and medium flex.
my favorite park skis have been my faty-pus L toros, and first gen kung fujas(super close to flat camber, med flex) I liked my icelantic da nollies a lot, but i think after being detuned from rails, and at their narrower width with that much rocker, they got a little too skittish and unstable.
I'm thinking the marksman, devastator, magnus 102, ct 2.0, yle110, and especially curious about the lithic skunkworks 110(though they're crazy $$$$)
any thoughts? anyone have experience on any of these as a park ski?
